COMPETITION SLALOM/SPEED FOIL SAIL OPTIMISED FOR FLYING ON THE LIMIT WITH MAX AVERAGE SPEEDS.
Control, control, control. The FoilS2 is a pure slalom and speed foil sail for the competition rider who is searching for the fastet and most technically advanced foil sail out there. The high aspect ratio design allows for perfect aerodynamics. We have optimised the sail for maximum average speed. The more controlled and equal the speed of your flight is the easier you can move closer to the edge of what's possible in modern foil racing.
The newly developed sizes 4.2 and 3.6 are designed as 6 batten sails with 3 cams as we found this combination to provide the best mix of stiffness, controlled flex and reduced sail weight in nuclear foiling conditions.
You want the perfect foiling machine?! Here comes the PATRIK FoilS2.

Racing is a "no-compromise" area in Patrik Diethelm's dictionary. Every detail is being optimized with maximum performance in mind.
All the panels inside the sleeve are made by the thickest monofilm available which provides the best stiffness and a locked profile where the main shape is. The main panels are 5 MIL clear monofilm from B7 to B4 and then 4 MIL above that batten. Why always clear? Because this material is few grams lighter than its coloured alternative! For the foot panel and a minimalistic area around the clew we kept a good impact resistance 5 MIL red x-ply materials. That are is often stressed when your sail rubs on the deck grip of the ultra-wide racing boards. Along the leech, you find again 5 MIL (closer to the clew) and 4 MIL (closer to the top) clear x-ply to keep the rear edge of the sail stable and aerodynamically clean even in hi-wind choppy conditions. For the mast sleeve, we reduced the amount of PE fabric material (which stretches more and absorbs little amounts of water) and maximized the 2 MIL x/scrim-ply area instead, which is super light but still with the highest number of fibres per sqm. - so this material is perfect to spread the load across the whole sail.
Make sure to set the required downhaul indicated by the colour changes on the batten sleeves. Use the clew trim options to adjust the sail to the wind conditions.
ALEX COUSIN (Sails R&D)
"Fast and controlled, giving you the most stable flight without sudden load changes. This is the most advanced concept of a pure foil sail out there. Not lifting the nose in the gusts, never pushing you down and aerodynamically perfect!"
NICO WAREMBOURG (2x DEFI winner)
"For the DEFI competition I need a sail with the best possible average speed no matter how the conditions will change on the long reach. The FoilS2 can handle difficult up- and downwind angles with ease and is the most controlled foil sai I've ever used."
MICHELE BECKER (German Tour Winner 2022)
"This is my favourite sail of all times. The Foil S2 gives me the control and speed I need to win races. Use the trim options to adjust the sail for your needs. Use the high clew position as a standard and the low position to depower the sail and gain even more control."
